What Will You Be Doing On Winter Break?

By Eric H.

Can you hear all of the joy coming? Winter in one of the most popular times of year for many reasons. People all over the world are looking forward to Christmas, Hanukkah, and the winter season. Many people have different ways to celebrate these holidays, but many people are going to many interesting places…some far and some close. These seasons are the ones you are going to remember, so everyone tries to make it special. Where are you going?

Winter is a very busy time of year; people are buying presents and getting into the season. People often travel out of the country, while others stay at their homes.

“I’m going to Mexico with my family,” said Eighth Grader Kaley S.

Winter Season can be celebrated wherever the joy can be. Some people stay close and take advantage of the nearby attractions our area has to offer.

“I’m going to go to Disneyland and use my pass. I have my cousins coming over and it is going to be a very exciting break,” said Sixth Grader Trevor S.

Others don’t have set plans, but will be home.

“I’m staying home with my family during Winter Break. We don’t have too many things planned, so I’m not too excited,” said Sixth Grader Alyssa S.

Some people make plans to go to places where it snows. With snow, you can do almost anything. You can ski, snowboard, sled, snowball fight, or just play in it. Poeple will go to the local mountains for the newly fallen snow. Others will travel further away.

“For Winter Break I am going up to Utah for the snow. Then we throw a huge party for the season,” said Eighth Grader Karishma S.

This is one of the best times of the year, so try to make the best of the two weeks we have off.  Play in the snow, shop, travel, or simply stay home and enjoy family and friends around you. That is why this time of year is so great, there is something for everyone. What are you doing? Where are you doing over Winter Break? Just remember one thing; the best part about the Winter Break is being with your family.

Editor’s Note- If you happen to be taking some pictures over the Winter Break, send them to Mrs. Bezich at lbezich@etusd.org and she will put them into the newspaper.
